Musubi Rice Balls

  Prep Time: 15 mins | Cook Time: 10 minutes        ~15 rice balls


Ingredients

  • 3 full-sheets ONE ORGANIC nori 
  • 1/3 can Spam
  • 1 tbsp furikake seasoning
  • 2 cups steamed rice
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tbsp teriyaki sauce (or to your taste)

Directions

  1. Prepare the rice and cool to room temperature.
  2. Dice the Spam into cubes and pan fry. Coat with the teriyaki sauce and set aside in a medium bowl.
  3. Whisk the eggs in a small bowl. Using the same frying pan, cook eggs on low heat and add a pinch of salt. 
  4. In the medium bowl with Spam, add the rice, eggs, and crushed seaweed. Season with furikake and mix together. 
  5. Using a rice ball mold, fill the rice mixture to the top. Place the lid on and press gently until there’s some resistance. 
  6. Remove the lid from the mold and place on a plate. Press the top to release the rice ball.
  7. For additional flavoring, drizzle with teriyaki sauce and top off with furikake seaweed seasoning (optional).
