Hojicha Latte with Strawberry Foam

Ingredients

Strawberry Foam

  • 2 oz heavy cream
  • 2 tsp strawberry syrup
  • 1 oz milk

Directions

  1. Sift the hojicha powder into a bowl and add half the water. Add in the agave syrup and whisk until well combined.
  2. Pour in the remaining water and whisk vigorously for 30 seconds. 
  3. Raise the whisk to the surface of the foam and continue whisking in a gentle zigzag motion for an additional 10 seconds.
  4. Fill a glass with ice and add 6 oz milk.
  5. Pour the hojicha mixture and stir until combined.
  6. To make the strawberry foam, measure out the heavy cream, 1 oz milk, and strawberry syrup. Then use a hand-held frother to beat the ingredients until it’s thick and slightly runny. 
  7. Pour the cold foam on top of the hojicha.
