Apple Jasmine Tea

Ingredients

  • 1 apple
  • 3 tsp of sugar
  • 1/2 tsp jasmine instant tea powder
  • 6 oz hot water
  • 2 tsp agave (or to taste)

Directions

  1. Slice the apple into quarters and remove the core.
  2. Using a mandolin, thinly slice two halves of the apple.
  3. Place the slices in an airtight container and sprinkle sugar over each layer. Repeat with remaining slices.
  4. Refrigerate the apple slices for 3 hours until they become pliable.
  5. Arrange 13–14 slices diagonally, slightly overlapping, and gently roll them into a rose shape.
  6. To prepare the tea, stir the jasmine tea powder into hot water until fully dissolved.
  7. Add agave and sweeten to taste.
  8. Carefully place the apple rose into a teacup and pour the hot tea over it.
